Weddings

The ConcertzaalZuilenzaal (Hall of Columns) and Shaffyzaal (former Shaffy Theatre) are available for wedding ceremonies. Felix Meritis offers many extra facilities when it comes to organising a champagne toast, reception, lunch, high tea or dinner.

The well-to-do bourgeoisie of Amsterdam founded the Felix Meritis society in 1777, and ten years later established the monumental Felix Meritis building (the motto means Fortunate through Merit), to promote the arts and sciences. The rooms were specially designed for the departments of commerce, natural science, drawing, literature and music. Its rich cultural past, spatial capacity, and unique architectural quality make Felix Meritis the ideal space for festive yet intimate events.
