Grand Café Mediterranée
Dare2Connect and partners present Grand Café Mediterranée, a surprising and inspiring programme that will change your perspective on the Mediterranean and Arab world. In a programme of debates, workshops, informal meetings and performances Grand Café Mediterranée will host artists and cultural operators who offer a contemporary and unexpected perspective on arts and culture from the Mediterranean and Arab world.
Among others, the programme includes Lebanese multimedia art (Tarek Atoui), Arab music videos from Rotana (with Hassnae Bouazza), classical music from Iran (Marco Vitale in concert with Racha Ruzk), young Moroccan architects, visual artists from Cairo (Nat Muller in conversation with Maha Maamoun and Basim Magdy), a live work meeting between Syrian, Lebanese and Dutch cultural guides, work in progress by theatre makers from Egypt for the Oerol open air festival, and films from the region. Journalist Chris Keulemans will moderate the day.
