Felix & Music: Grachtenfestival 2010

The Grachtenfestival is the annual (classical) music festival on special locations in the centre of Amsterdam. This year from August 14th till August 22nd. The locations stand out because of their monumental architecture and cultural and historical value.

The opening was in Felix Meritis with the opera The Lighthouse, by Peter Maxwell Davies. Conductor: Jonathan Berman.

As in earlier years Felix Meritis is the festival centre, with concerts and the festival café. This year the Festival introduced EarBites, the daily talkshow at 17.00 hr in the festival café. Hans Haffmans interviewed musicians who performed the next day.
