Development knows no shortcut
Dutch journalist, publicist and debater Marcia Luyten will give the first Wilde Ganzen lecture about the inconvenient truth of development cooperation: much of what we do does not work. She will talk about what can be done, about change from within. People develop themselves. We must connect with existing seeds for change. Development aid cannot bear the hastiness of the modern development worker. It asks for modest decisiveness, an anthropological view and endurance. This forces us to revalue the working method of missionaries.
After the lecture there is the opportunity to ask questions and to discuss with Marcia Luyten.
