Development cooperation: Let it blow!
During the last couple of years development cooperation has been a topical theme in Dutch politics. Must the Netherlands hold on to the current budget for development cooperation? Where should the focus be in the future? Must we cooperate with reliable governments or invest in fragile states?
Dutch journalist Tobias Reijngoud will give his view on development cooperation. Roderik van Grieken (director Netherlands Debate Institute) will moderate the debate. Central to the debate will be your opinion about the current budget for development cooperation. In the afternoon you will discuss the best alternatives. How can it be done otherwise? Isn't it better to use the budget for NGOs or business? Or is private initiative the way of the future?
At noon: lunch and an information market with the international departments of the Dutch political parties.
Afterwards: drinks, live music and time to network.
